POV of Migration

POV of Migration by DiSu Art is an interactive art experience that invites players to feel what it means to move between cultures and languages.

Using video and sound, participants play a game in which each level is presented in a different language. As the language shifts, simple tasks become confusing and familiar actions suddenly feel demanding, mirroring the disorientation of navigating an unfamiliar cultural environment.

After completing the game, visitors watch a short documentary featuring people who have experienced the piece before. Their voices, reactions, and written reflections reveal the emotional and sensory dimensions of migration, showing how quickly comfort can turn into challenge.

At the end of the journey, a final question appears on the screen: “Do you feel us?” inviting participants to pause, empathize, and carry the question beyond the experience.

POV of Migration explores how language shapes belonging and understanding. By transforming moments of confusion into opportunities for connection, the work offers a personal insight into what it means to be lost in translation.
